Did we lose out on tanking pets?

I was in Dragonblight doing some quests and hit some I'd done a while back on my Warlock.
The basic rule with the warlock seemed to be that I could handle anything up to 3-person group quests. I had to swap my dps demon (Felguard) for a tanking one (Voidwalker) and just took it nice and easy and watched the threatmeter.
So with my hunter I approached these with some confidence only to find that even my shiny new pet heal didn't cut it.
SO I went over to Petopia and looked up tanking pets. Being in Dragonblight the big worms seemed like an obvious choice from the Tenacity branch. I made sure to spend all its talent points on what looked like tanking attributes.
Unfortunately the result was virtually the same. A few more hits but it still died leaving me with an unkiteable elite forcing me to FD.
Was the worm just a bad choice (Although I thought all pets were normalised within families?) or are hunters just screwed on this? Or have I just got no clue?
I can come back in a few levels but that seems alien to a hunter who used to be able to tackle same-level I go - there I am.Yeah, you have to be careful with WWS, as it reports 'misses' rather generically from its default interface, essentially combining anything that didn't deal damage into a single lump sum. Try adding columns for actual misses and dodges and you should see a more accurate picture of what's up.-Norellicus - FFXI
Ranawaran - WoWPhew... thanks for the Choking Cloud pointer. I didn't pay any attention at all to that one messing up the complete report Most of those misses are dodges.
The ones that actually are misses can most likely be attributed to the fact that the report for Archavon was included along with those for the other bosses (see Choking Cloud).-jaysgsl wrote:I have received a translation of his post to the language of the bears.

So how come that out hunter's pet (BM with exotic raptor) has up to 9.6 miss in WWS?
