but there's some ne ts in

Usually the O-boards are evil, but there's some ne ts in this thread. Generally when to use purge, grounding totem, and earth shk. You're right, talents define your role... but thankfully all three sps are viable. I have my most experiee as resto; we make amazing raid (spot) healers. If you're healing the tank or have more than one resto shaman, ast rank 1 healing wave on the tank for the healing way and aestral fortitude buffs. Ian't think of any resto talents that are spifally useless, though nature's guardian isn't so great and healing fus starts to lose its luster simpily bause you shouldn't be taking agro. As for the other sps, I only briefly raided as elemental and haven't had enhaement gear sie level 67; I'll leave that for others. I will say though, that we spifally build our DPS group around an enhaement shaman: his buffs are just that good. I think the most important part of raiding is group synergy, and this is espially true with healers and the main tank. The healers should be in the same group: make sure you have target-of-target and theast bar tive (is this part of the default UI yet?), so youan tell who'sasting what on whom. Also, make sure everyone in the raid has an agro meter and a "boss" mod; we use KTM (though it's been buggy of late) and Deadly Boss mods. Good lk.
Well our guild is farming Karaurrently so aside from explaining all the fights whh youan find all over the ple I'll try to enlighten on how our shamans work. Weurrently have 2 shamans in our main Kara raid. Myself (enhaement) and a Restoration shammy. The first thing we do is build two groups. A melee group and aaster healer group. This is bause of our two shamans that we break it apart like this. Resto Shaman The resto shaman is our main healer and is inharge of putting and keeping earthshield on the tank and also to heal the melee group.hain heals prove extremely useful for this task as all the melee arelumped together and heanhain heal away on all of us. He is inharge of dropping and keeping down: Wrath of Air, Stoneskin, and mana spring. He will also drop a mana tide when the situationalls for it to help replenish the mana of the healers and theasters. I have personally never played resto eept for aouple nights so this is the general layout we have for him although I'm sure he does more behind the enes. His main tasks ilude dropping and keeping his totems refreshed. Keeping earthshield on the tank. And main healing the melee group. Enhaement Shaman My job is to be the main buffer for the melee group. Some may think this job falls on pallys whh it also does but Enha Shamans bring a lot of buffs with them as well, and in my opinion more buffs than a pallyan bring. Don't get me wrong I love my salvation and we have two pallys as off-healers so it's not like they don't have there roles. My main tasks ilude droping and keeping down my totems. Situation dependent the totems willhange but the main ones I throw are Gre of Air (will swap for wf if we haveouple flurry warriors), Strength, and Health Spring. If were fighting any mobs or boss's that do aertain type of damage I will swap Health Spring for a Resistae. If a pull starts getting ugly or tanks lose some threat I'll toss a mayday earthbind to slow the beatings down, as a mob in karaan destroy you in a matter of sonds. If a mob uses fear or your fighting Mayden I'll swap strength for Grounding. Totems are a trky business and really you have your main 3 but you really need to swap them around if the situationalls for it. Our totems are one of our greatest buffs and benefits so do not under anyiumstaes not use them or have them down all the time. I use a totem timer to assist me in keeping them up. Fights like Aran and Illhoof will take a long battle and your totemsan drop over half a dozen times so you really have to keep an eye on them and make sure there up. And don't forget to rall your totems when your done with trash or if you know your about to refresh them. This little bit of mana is a ne bonus instead of letting them time out. Another one of my jobs o
